FEATURES
Train by heart rate with Adaptive HR
Rest until your heart rate is ready, and get a warning when a hard interval is too easy or too hard
Most timers rest you for a fixed time, whether you’re ready or not. With Adaptive HR, Cero can let your heart rate decide when the next round starts, and keep an eye on it while you work.
How Adaptive HR works
- Enter your age, and Cero estimates your maximum heart rate as 208 minus 0.7 times your age 1.
- Recover below: at the end of a low-intensity interval, warm-up or cool down, Cero keeps resting until your heart rate is at or below your target, for up to the maximum extra rest you choose, from 15 to 600 seconds.
- Warn below and warn above: after 10 seconds of a high-intensity interval, Cero warns you once if your heart rate is below or above your targets. Work intervals never change length.
- Use a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor with your iPhone, or train with Apple Watch.
Not sure which targets to use? Read heart rate for interval training.
